The details behind your order
These terms explain how to use our store and what to expect when ordering from Elpis Gift. Please read them alongside our delivery, returns and privacy policies.
Updated September 12, 2026. These policies do not limit rights provided by applicable consumer law. Existing orders retain the terms agreed when they were placed.
We are a small handmade-gift production and sales business registered in Ohio, USA. We offer invitations, greeting cards, postcards, candles, wooden gifts and other creative pieces. Some items are made, prepared or shipped by our studio or partners in Asia, or another fulfillment location, depending on the product and available stock.
Use the website lawfully, provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the site, submit misleading information, misuse our content or use the service for fraud. We may restrict access or refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary to address misuse or a breach of these terms.
We aim to describe each product accurately. Handmade pieces may have small differences in color, size, texture, shape, pattern or finish. Lighting, materials and screen settings can also affect appearance. A minor variation consistent with an accurately described handmade item is not necessarily a defect; this does not excuse a materially inaccurate description or a faulty product.
Check the names, dates, spelling, wording, images, colors, addresses and design instructions you provide. If we send a proof or request confirmation, preparation may wait for your approval. Customer response times can affect delivery. We cannot normally offer a change-of-mind refund for an item made correctly to the instructions you approved.
You must have the rights needed to use any text, photograph, image, logo, trademark or design you submit. We may decline or cancel custom work that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, threatening, infringing, misleading or otherwise inappropriate. Please do not send material you do not have permission to use.
An order acknowledgment confirms receipt, not necessarily acceptance. Orders remain subject to availability, payment validation, delivery restrictions, correct pricing and our ability to produce the requested customization. If we cannot accept or fulfill a paid order, we will refund the canceled portion. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.
Prices are shown in the currency indicated on the site. Available payment methods and the actual charge currency are confirmed at checkout, together with shipping, any collected taxes and the final total. Payment is required before processing. Prices and stock can change for future orders; any correction affecting an order already placed will be communicated rather than silently charging you more.
The payment services offered at checkout, including Stripe or PayPal when available, process payments under their own terms and security practices. We do not directly store full card details or payment-account credentials. A provider's availability can depend on the order, country and currency.
Most ready-made items are prepared within 3–7 business days after payment confirmation. Handmade, personalized or made-to-order products may take longer, as described for the item. Complexity, materials, quantities and approval of a design can affect the schedule. If we cannot dispatch within the applicable timeframe, we will provide notice and any legally required choice to accept a delay or cancel for a refund.
Transit estimates start after dispatch and are not guaranteed arrival dates. Customs, weather, holidays and carrier operations can cause delays. Check your shipping address carefully and contact us promptly about an error; changes may not be possible once work or shipping has begun. Unless expressly included in your total, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage and similar destination charges are the customer's responsibility. They may be collected by a carrier or local authority and can also delay clearance. Statutory requirements take precedence over this general allocation of charges.
Contact us as early as possible. A ready-made order may be too far along once processed, packed or shipped. A custom order may be too far along once design work, materials preparation or production begins. Approved cancellations are refunded to the original payment method where possible. Statutory cancellation rights are not excluded.
Request a voluntary return of an eligible ready-made physical item within 14 days of delivery, keeping it unused, undamaged and complete with original packaging where applicable. Change-of-mind returns are generally unavailable for custom, personalized, made-to-order, digital and final-sale products. Exchanges depend on eligibility and stock. Our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges page explains the process and costs; more generous terms expressly agreed for an order will be honored.
For damaged, faulty or incorrect items, please contact us within 7 days where possible with the order number and photos of the item, packaging and shipping label. We will review a replacement, repair, refund or another appropriate remedy. The request to contact us promptly is not a limit on longer statutory rights.
Digital items are supplied electronically; no physical item is shipped. They are generally non-refundable once delivered, accessed, downloaded or customized, subject to applicable law and any necessary consent for immediate delivery. Tell us about access problems. Unless the product's license expressly permits more, files are for personal use and may not be resold, shared, redistributed or claimed as your own. An express product license controls its permitted uses.
Follow the instructions included with the item or shown on its product page. Never leave a burning candle unattended; keep it away from children, pets, drafts and flammable materials and place it on a stable, suitable surface. Misuse, improper storage and ignoring care instructions may affect a voluntary remedy, without excluding liability or rights that cannot legally be limited.
Unless otherwise stated, store text, photographs, illustrations, branding, designs and layouts belong to or are licensed to Elpis Gift. Permission is required for commercial copying, distribution, adaptation or reuse, except where the law allows it.
Please submit only accurate, lawful content that respects other people's rights. By sending a review, photo or feedback for publication, you permit us to display, reproduce and make reasonable edits to it for our business, customer service or marketing, unless you tell us otherwise. Private support correspondence and personalization details remain subject to our Privacy Policy; sending them is not permission to publish them.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Payments, shipping, hosting and other functions may use third-party providers whose own terms apply to their services. We do not control every aspect of those services, but using them does not remove obligations we owe you under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, and liability relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for the product involved. This limitation does not apply where the law prohibits it. Events such as severe weather, natural disasters, conflict, strikes, supply interruptions, customs action, power or internet outages and public-health emergencies may affect performance. We will still meet any applicable notice, refund and consumer-protection obligations.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Nothing here removes consumer protections that apply in your place of residence. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
We may update these terms and show the revised date on this page. Changes do not retrospectively reduce the rights agreed for an existing order. We will provide notice or obtain agreement where required. Please contact us before ordering if you would like anything explained.
