Paying for a gift should feel as easy as choosing it. Here is how payment works at Elpis Gift and how your payment details are kept safe.

Ways to pay

The payment methods we offer appear at checkout, such as card payment through Stripe, or PayPal when available. Which methods you see can depend on your order, country and currency.

How your payment details are protected

Card details are entered in the payment provider's own secure form, and the provider processes the payment under its own security practices. We do not directly store full card details or full payment-account credentials in our storefront; we receive the transaction information needed to manage your order. Our store is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Prices, currency and your total

Prices are shown in the currency indicated on the site. The charge currency, shipping, any collected taxes and the final total are confirmed at checkout before you pay. If your bank converts the payment into another currency, it may apply its own exchange rate or fees.

When payment is taken

Payment is required before we begin preparing your order. An order acknowledgment confirms that we received your order, not necessarily that it is accepted. If we cannot accept or fulfill a paid order, we refund the canceled portion.

Duties and import charges

Unless expressly included in your order total, customs duties, import taxes, VAT and similar destination charges are not part of the checkout payment. They may be collected by a carrier or a local authority.

Refunds

Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method where possible. Allow several business days for your payment provider or bank to process the credit. Our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges page explains when a refund applies.

If a payment looks wrong

If a payment fails, appears twice or does not match your order, contact us with your order number and the email address you used at checkout. Never send a full card number, security code or password by email or in a message.
